Back in my early days working out west for a large company in which I worked in their irrigation division, we would build large projects and would
help the landscape crews after our work was completed in order to finish the job. The company at the time built beautiful but crude waterfalls.
I have always had a passion for waterfalls, ponds and streams, so in 2006 I built mine in my back yard. The first decision was the location, in
other words where will I be able to get the most enjoyment from my new creation. I decided on the area adjacent to my patio, where my wife and I
would be able to view it the most. This turned out to be better than expected, since now we are out there almost every evening. Next were the size,
shape and location of the waterfall. We decided on a 16' by 16' since I did not want this to look out of place for the area it was going into. The
shape is a personal preference and can be built to fit your preferences. The waterfall faces the house because I wanted to hear and view the fall
from inside the house as well.
The waterfall changed our entire backyard into an outdoor paradise, which we now spend most every evening enjoying. I can't say enough about what
this has given us. We eat our dinners out on the patio. We interact with the fish by feeding them or just watch as they chase each other around
the pond. The moment you step out onto the patio you can feel the days stress start to melt away. The best part of this is the maintenance. There
is very little work to the pond.
If you don't want a pond you can simply have the same effect of hearing the water with a pondless waterfall. Pondless waterfalls are simply a
recirculating waterfall and/or stream without the presence of a pond. You can enjoy the sight and sound of running water without the maintenance
of a pond.
There are also fountainscapes available for small areas like front entrances for your home or garden. They can be container water gardens,
stand-alone fountains, bubbling urns, and fountains that incorporate an in-ground reservoir.
Contact us and I will personally come out to your property to show you how we can help change your lifestyle and you to will become a water
enthusiast, as my wife and I have.
Sincerely,
Bob Paxton
